WWW Wednesday is a weekly prompt hosted by Taking on A World of Words. If you wish to join, all you have to do is answer the following three questions:
- What are you currently reading?
- What did you recently finish reading?
- What do you think you’ll read next?
What Are You Currently Reading?
I’m currently reading three books at once! I couldn’t help myself!
I’m doing a week long buddy read of Universe of Two by Stephen Kiernan, and so far I’m loving it, and trying to limit myself to reading the allotted chapters per day, though it’s so hard, because it’s turning out to be a wonderful novel!
This novel is set in WW2 America, where a young mathematician is drafted to work on the production of the Atomic Bomb, and how he struggles with his conscience once he becomes aware of what he’s really working on, and the devastation his part in it causes.
Also, reading Miss Graham’s Cold War Cookbook by Celia Rees, which follows a British spy in postwar Germany, who disguises her codes in the form of recipes.
Finally, just picked up one of the books I purchased with my collection of Indigo gift cards: Betty by Tiffany McDaniel.
What Did You Recently Finished Reading?
My first read of January was Long Bright River by Liz Moore. This was a book outside of my usual go-to genres, however, it was a solid five star read for me! This is a character driven story, part mystery, part thriller, part psychological drama, and a beautifully crafted literary novel.
What Do You Think You’ll Read Next?
I’m not completely sure yet, because there’s just so many! But I plan on reading A Reaper in the Gates by Sabaa Tahir this month, since I’m going to be participating in a Goodreads buddy read of A Sky Beyond the Storm in February.
I also have a lot of library books coming in, so may start one of these!
