December Yarn Along

It’s been quite some time since I joined Ginny over at Small Things for her monthly Yarn Along. On the first Wednesday of every month, Ginny posts what she’s currently knitting and reading and invites others to do the same. I had fun with this on my old blog, but after going through a knitting slump I fell out of the habit.

I’m excited to say I’ve started knitting again, and looking forward to joining Yarn Along on a monthly basis. I know I’m joining a little late, but the link is open for those who want to join anytime of the month.

Currently Knitting

I purchased this lovely skien from my local yarn store, The Needle Emporium, to make fingerless gloves for myself. While the physical store is closed due to the pandemic, I was able to order the yarn online and pick it up outside the store.

Pattern: Almost Aran Fingerless Gloves

Yarn: Madelientosh Twist Light in Brick Dust

Currently Reading

I’m currently reading too many books at one time, as you can see from my Goodreads page! I have an abundance of library books, as well as unread books I own on my book shelves, and I’ve been trying to curb my desire to start many of them before finishing the others, but to little avail! I’ve decided to focus my attention of a selection of those I’ve started.

These are:

Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

Romanov by Nadine Brandes

Sunflower Sisters by Martha Hall Kelly (a NetGalley ARC)

Daughters of Smoke and Fire by Ava Homa

What are you currently reading/knitting at the moment?

  1. so glad you have found your knitting mojo once again…the fingerless mitts are lovely!!! I went through the same hiatus … although mine was from blogging; issues with an old platform, I switched during this shutdown (bored enough to finally do it!) and while I lost most of my ‘people’, the process is once again enjoyable. Hope your knitting stays that way as well.
